OpenOffice Macros

Hi everyone, I'm just sitting here doing some work and realized something. I should be able to reduce my keystrokes a LOT by writing some macros that would allow me to "quick change" my fonts in OpenOffice. I'm doing some research right now, but I never learned VB (which, I assume, OpenOfficeBasic is a derrivitave of) so I'm starting cold. Has anyone out there written some macros for OpenOffice? All I need is the ability to switch quickly between: English, Greek, and Hebrew. I'm not sure how to start. Like I said, I'm doing the research, but any hints and/or examples you all could share would be WONDERFUL. Thanks everyone, Wes

I 2nd or 3rd VNC, you should also check out rnetwork. It allows a linux box to control a window$ box via micro$ith terminal services. I use it here at work and have had great luck with it. Linux for DEC Alpha 400 4/233 ??

I remember from one of the more recent WLUGs that some information about Linux on Alpha was presented. I was at the Mass Academy for Math & Science yesterday, and they have several DEC Alpha 400 4/233 machines and they asked me if there was a Linux that might run on them. Not being a DEC kind of guy, I couldn't answer... Anyone care to offer some information regarding this? Thanks in advance! Steve

Since we were just on the subject of hardware, I was wondering if anyone had any PC133 memory that they wanted to part with. I have a new box that's half built and would like 256MB, but I'd settle for 64 just to get it going. I'm stalling on the memory, hoping the price will come back down. I think Red Hat and Mandrake both provide distributions for Alpha. I'm sure there are others too since Linus used an Alpha as a target during kernel 2.0 development. Robert N. ssh/virtual terminal "challenge"

I have a situation where I'd like to run ssh from a script to connect to a different machine. In some cases, the machine's IP will have changed, due to DHCP. Is there a way I can either: 1. make ssh accept the new site without supplying the "yes" from the keyboard. or 2. Somehow set up a controlling terminal or virtual terminal to provide the "yes" that ssh requires? I have not been able to get something like "openvt" to work. I have no experience with these things. Anyone know where I can get Palm OS version 3.5.3 for my Palm III? Palm have gone to 4.1 and are charging $30.00. I don't want to spring the $$ because most of 4.1 is for mobile connectivity and I don't care about that. 3.5.3 has all the stuff I want, but it is no longer available from Palm's website... Any suggestions? Thanks! Steve
