I'm assuming you've made a minor typing mistake in the first sentence of the previous paragraph (otherwise very confusing) I'm assuming also that you're saying that the internal card boots OK and the card hooked to the cable modem is failing:
- be sure the driver module for the cable modem eth card is loaded (e.g 'insmod 3c90x' or whatever for your card )
- be sure the 'pump' package in installed

If any of the above doesn't help, please give more info re: type of cards, excerpts of log files showing error messages, etc. config files, (e.g./etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1)

Having a problem with RPM...
# rpm -qa |grep mozilla
mozilla-0.9.1-ximian.4
nautilus-mozilla-1.0.3-ximian.3
mozilla-0.9.1-ximian.4
# rpm -e mozilla-0.9.1
error: "mozilla-0.9.1" specifies multiple packages
# rpm -e mozilla-0.9.1-ximian.4
error: "mozilla-0.9.1-ximian.4" specifies multiple packages
Any ideas on how I can actually remove those two identical packages that
somehow got installed? (mozilla does not in fact work correctly)
Thanks,
-Marc
Hello all.
I am FINALLY getting an iPaq and want to flash the ROM to install familar linux (or QT embedded). I've been looking over the howtos but I think I would feel better to have someone who's done this sitting over my shoulder so I don't make a $600 paperweight. Also, can someone tell me what apps are in ipkg format for familiar, I've been having trouble finding them? What about the possibility of switching between QT embedded and X for other useful apps (like, game boy emulators, for instance, or even the Atari Lynx...).
Can anyone help me with this?
Wes
Figured it out... Turned out that I could change the boot order on the
machine, its working fine now.

Subject: [Wlug] HP LH Pro...
Probably a quick one, but neither google or I have sorted it out yet...
I have a HP LH PRO with a AMI Megaraid controller in it. Connected to the
controller are 2 4gig disks I've got configured to be mirrored using the
hardware raid. (when doing the install you only see 1 4 gig disk)
Now Mandrake 7.2 installs fine, and when using a boot floppy can see the
controller etc... however when booting off of the controller, lilo comes up,
it finds the kernel image and then stops at "unpacking the kernel..." I
don't get any errors, it just hangs. I hooked up a regular scsi disk to one
of the other Adaptec controllers but by the nature of the way the machine is
layered out sda is the raid controller so the boot sector ends up on it
anyway.
My kernel works properly because it can access all the filesystems that
reside on those disks, I just can't boot off of them.
It feels like an issue with lilo...
If anybody has experience with this I'd like to know what the solution would
be.
Thanks,
Tim

I know it's possible to assign multiple IPs (at least for listening) to a
single ethernet device. I _know_ I should read first and ask questions
second, but I'm just _so_ lazy, and there hasn't been much traffic anyway.
TIA,
Bill
