Hi,
Anyone on here using Charter Telephone VOIP service? I've currently
got Verizon, but the wife hates it because our phone lines get flaky
all the time, esp when it rains.
So I'm thinking to save money and combine all my stuff onto Charter.
I've already got High Speed internet and regular old cable. Not wild
about Digital Cable since I'm happy with Tivo and I don't want yet
another set top box to have to deal with...
So, any horror stories about Charter Phone VOIP quality and service?
Thanks,
John
The calendar on the website is a Google Calendar. Tim, Frank, and myself have access to change the calendar from any Google calendar client, including google.com/calendar. I recommend Jorte on Android, but the built-in Google calendar on Android should work fine as well. Ideally, whomever reserves a room and/or announces a meeting date/time/topic would update the calendar at the same time. Just change "only this event" so as to not mess up the default recurring schedule.
The calendar is public so anyone can subscribe to it so it shows up on their own personal device(s):

I'm fine with that. If we're going to do it, someone should update the
website for that specific day.

Hey Gang,
I got talking to my buddy Nick who I'd like to have come and do a talk
about cryptography. Unfortunately, he can't make it Thursday. Would Tuesday
the 20th work for everybody?
Thanks,
Tim.

We've got a meeting this week!
Short Topic: Spectre and Meltdown.
What it is, what it does, etc.
I figure this is pretty topical as many of us are starting to wrap our
heads around the performance implications as well as the tackling the task
of patching many systems.
Location: Campus Center, Mid Century Rm 331
Time: 7pm
Snacks and Refreshments will be provided.
Thanks,
Tim.

The xkcd comic is basically how I explain it to my parents :P
Not the most useful from a technical standpoint though.
