How about another BBQ, since I missed the last one, LOL! (J/K) The topic of 'kids-oriented programming, circuits and robotics' sounds good to me. ;-) Somewhere in my house I have an old R/C tank that my Dad gave to my son when he was 5. And then when he was just 6 years old, my Dad passed, so the tank became even more valueable to Joe. But somewhere along the line, it died (electronically, probably due to Joe playing with it in the snow, LOL!), so I started to convert it to use an Arduino to control it, and intended to intended to use Bluetooth modules to communicate between the Arduino controlling the motors and the Arduino reading the controls on the remote. But, alas, like many of the projects that I start, I got side-tracked by life and never got back to it... But I could probably find it and 'ressurect' the project in time for the meeting and do a little 'show-and-tell' about it. help with CentOS webserver

Hi, I ought to know all this stuff by now, but I'm having some issues with my (new) webserver. Mainly connectivity/iptables stuff. If anyone feels like coming out to Sutton and tweakin' for a while, I will reward them with beer and/or stirfry. I'm here all weekend, cleaning out my basement. Or next weekend if that's better. last-minute BBQ status

During my talk, I spoke briefly about upgrading one of my machines from 3TB disks to 4TB disks. Here's a "zfs status" output (obviously with some critical details scrubbed) This is a raid 60 (4, 8 disk raid 6's). I'm replacing 4 disks, one from each of the strip sets. What I captured this output I'd just put in the fourth disk. So that 252h is now down to 15h, and likely soon it'll be even lower. Obviously, I/O load on the subsystem will cause this to stretch out. WLUG july 9 BBQ food + planning

Not required, but will be nice to hear from any folks planning to attend. Tim's bringing some of the food including soda/snacks; I'll have burgers and more ready early; I lack energy to make healthy stuff like a salad...can anyone? I DO have a spare/2nd fridge I'll be plugging in beforehand. Just based on gut and history, I'd expect 10-20 attendees. ===repeat pasting: The location is: 540 Linden St, Boylston MA. Food: The usual {Cheese} Hamburgers / Hotdogs / Bratwurst's, Chips, dips, Soda. If you have any specific dietary needs, please let Doug and I know and we'll see what we can work out. Topics: As Doug said in his prior mail, BBQ's don't need a topic, but we'll likely be messing with FreeNAS, other ZFS stuff.
