Tim, A newbie question: With respect to Linux security/virus protection, is Firejail Security Sandbox (https://firejail.wordpress.com/ ) worthwhile. It is in the Mint repository. Hey Gang, We've got a meeting scheduled for the 8th! Wow, this meeting came up quick! Any ideas would be welcomed! I could show off the wifi-pineapple if people would like, I made sure to ask the powers that be that it's okay. Time: 7pm Location: WPI Student Center Rm 331 (Mid Century Room) As usual, there will be refreshments and snacks provided and we'll walk/swim to Tech pizza afterwards. Out of curiosity, why not via Wifi? It doesn't require any drivers on the client side which is really nice. To your question, I haven't done it in over 5 years so my experiences probably are relevant anymore. This is an unrooted Motorola Droid Turbo on Verizon. I found that I can go into Developer Settings on the phone, set the USB connection type to RNDIS, and my computer sees a USB network connection, but I haven't been able to get an IP address assigned; it says "connecting" for a bit, then fails. I haven't used USB tethering for several years, but my Galaxy S6 tethers via wifi quite well... Android USB tethering

Does anyone have experience tethering an Android phone to their PC via USB? I'm trying FoxFi (pdanet.co) on my phone. It says you need to run companion software on your PC, and they offer that software for Windows and Mac, but not for Linux. I don't have internet access to my home anymore, so I can't search repositories like I used to. -- Thanks! Rich

Simply concat them and then remove the redundant information...
