Our client in northern, MA is seeking a Software Engineer who can work with limited supervision and is responsible for the development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications, and network products. Current assignment involved in the design and development of applications for a networking monitoring product. Will focus on designing device drivers in C on Linux from scratch. KEY: Our client is looking for a Senior level SW Developer to write device drivers from scratch using "C" in a Linux environment. Networking experience with IP Protocols ( Ethernet). Details as follows: The candidate should posses following skills: The consultant (5+ mth contract in RI) will be assisting the core development team in targeting the Linux Operating System for our client's next generation POS terminal. This development project requires a highly skilled individual. The consultant will also assist in the device driver development and integration for the video graphics sub-system on the POS terminal. The majority of the work must be done on-site. Expertise in the AMD Chipset technologies and targeting the Linux OS to AMD Processors REQUIRED! Hello everyone, my name is Markus McLaughlin, I am both a member of the Fedora Project and a Linux blogger with a blog at http://linuxglobe.wordpress.com. About 5 years ago, I became a fan of Linux but did not actually use it until I bought my first Mac, which was a Mini, I now use an Intel iMac and I run Fedora 9, Ubuntu 8.04, and openSUSE in VMware Fusion. I want to reach out to other Linux hobbyists AND writers who want to promote Linux. What I want to do with my blog is to add other Writers who want to both promote Linux and help those who don't know what to do with it, with columns. Hopefully, Red Hat, Novell, and other companies will want to help fund a major Linux Magazine right here in North America. I want to help fill a niche that needs to be filled and HELP those who can't afford a Windows/Mac computer have free tools, internet access, and an inexpensive used laptop/desktop. Anyway, if anyone here has any ideas on what we can do together to promote Linux in this part of Massachusetts, PLEASE contact me.
