HI Everybody,
Our next WLUG meeting will be held on Thurs. Jan 15th at 7:00 PM in the Access
Grid room on the WPI campus.
WLUG member Chuck Anderson will talk to us about using PGP. In his words:
So, I guess I could whip up a summary of what I have learned to
give a brief overview of what PGP is, how/why to use it...
Click on this URL to get more information about PGP:
http://web.mit.edu/network/pgp.html
>From that website:
PGP® or Pretty Good Privacy® is a powerful cryptographic product
family that enables people to securely exchange messages, and to
secure files, disk volumes and network connections with both privacy
and strong authentication.
For a similar piece of software, consult this URL:

See ya there!

Hi Everybody,
Unfortunately, I received no responses to my query about finding a speaker to
talk about digital signatures on e-mail. If you have expertise in this area
and would like to address WLUG at the January meeting, please contact me
ASAP. Thanks!
Plan B: there is no plan B.
Have you any thoughts ? Really, what we need is a volunteer. OK, I'll stoop
to bribery - if you speak at a WLUG meeting (especially the January meeting),
we'll buy you pizza/beer at the Boynton Restaurant after the meeting. How's
that sound ? :-)
Thanks!

HI Everybody,
Are there any GnomeMeeting users out there ?
I just bought a webcam and would like to try this out. If somebody wants to
do an experiment, let me know! I'd like to test both video and audio as well
as the text chat capability.

Holiday cheer would be facilitated greatly if I were able to find a
802.11g wireless card that works with linux. Does anyone in the group
have any experience or insight regarding 802.11g and linux
compatibility?
Happy Holidays!
