I'm not sure what would be considered the "top" perl modules. if you goto cpan.perl.org they've got like 3000 perl modules to choose from... If Mike or someone feels inclined to make me a tarball of the "top 50" I'd gladly put them on the cd. As it stands this is what we've got. Alsa drivers, stable and development Kernel 2.4.17 rdesktop (lets you access windows 2000 terminal services) TightVNC (client and server) + docs UltraMaster RS101 StarOffice 5.2 (6.0 isn't available anymore...) Latest build of Wine gPhoto + libusb Mplayer / Xine / libdvdcss xmame acrobat gaim Mozilla Netscape Opera XMMS + lots of plugins ogg-vorbis (RC3) Java / flash / realplayer plugins for mozilla/netscape If people think I'm missing something, our you've got a killer app you think people should have... let me know. I've still got only got about 1/2 a cd. Hey All... Like Always, I put together a "killer apps" cd that has what I think people would want and need... This is what I've got on it so far, I'd like some input on things to add... Kernel: latest kernel sources (2.4.17) Browsers: Opera Netscape 6.2 Mozilla latest build Plugins: Java Real player Flash Audio: xmms-1.2.6 + plugins ogg-vorbis Apps: Acrobat 4.05 xmame 58.1 Thanks, Tim.

Ill bust out a tarball of themes tonight. Howabout some security apps.. nessus, nmap, tripwire, snort and such.. The newest builds of PHP, Apache, and mySQL are nice to have Howabout The Loki Games Installer? Different Burning Software.. xcdroast, gtoaster, cdrtoaster, gcombust Hmm. Greetings, I am a fellow Linux enthusiast new to this group. I have previously spent my time working in #linuxpeople on dalnet to help out newbies get they're systems installed and configured. Ive begun to compile a list of newbie oriented tutorials.. and other things of the sort. Id like to get more involved in the community in a more "hands on" sort of way. Anyway, Ill try to make it to the installfest this Saturday, and I thank you all for being here. You can add sound apps... ALSA O.S.S. The Alsa and OSS plugins for XMMS.. Also a collection of themes from classic.themes.org would be nice, window managers and such.. Ill help collect if you like.
