I've got some technical concerns about the demo. Just want to make sure we have all the right stuff on hand. No VGA port on the laptop, just HDMI. The one time I tested that (yesterday) there was no audio through the HDMI. The laptop speakers are loud enough if you hold your ear close. Can we patch into the sound system with a mini-jack? (Or does someone have a pair of micro-speakers they can bring along in their pocket?) I could talk about using linux for radio broadcast automation. Demo, too - I've got it running on the laptop. Peter Pouliot, who is the MS guy working on getting Hyper-V support back into OpenStack, spoke at last year's PuppetConf in Boston, and said that *nix stacks will likely come back into MS products so MS can play with the likes of OpenStack and similar opensource tools making their way into devOps, EntOps, cloud apps and big data. In essence, he indicated they're panicking and they should be. Mike

Windows NT/XP/7/8 had the POSIX subsystem and then the Interix subsystem: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interix But they deprecated it in Windows 8 and don't support it at all on Windows 10. It is interesting that they are bringing some type of *IX support back...
