Hello all, This is a LinkedIn issue. I selected several people to connect to and LinkedIn "sneaked in" the rest of my address book contacts. On the original invitation presented by LinkedIn, I assumed that the half dozen or so contacts I saw were all there was. I didn't notice if there were any additional pages from which to select contacts ("Next" button). Announce: April WLUG Meeting: ZFS: Changed time/location

Hi folks, This month, the Worcester Linux Users' Group (WLUG) monthly meeting will be held on THURSDAY instead of the usual Wednesday, and the meeting will be starting promptly at 7PM since we must finish and be out of the room by 8PM. Additionally, the location is different this month: Thursday, April 12, 7:00 - 8:00 PM WPI Campus Center, Mid-Century Room (room 331) Longtime WLUG member Tim Keller will be talking about ZFS, the Zettabyte FileSystem for Oracle Solaris and FreeBSD (ports available for Linux too). Using Meetup

Hey, Yesterday I was browsing around Meetup.com, and found another group called Worcester Web Technology <http://www.meetup.com/Worcester-Web-Technology/>, and they are also meeting at WPI, apparently on the third Thursday of every month. (today) I recommend WLUG also create a meetup group for attracting new members. Also Meetup is nice for sending out reminder emails about the meetings on the day before. Belated announcement

After a recent wlug meeting (I think it was December?) I mentioned that my wife and I were expecting a child. Tim asked me to send an announcement to the list. (So this announcement is not completely off topic.) Below is my belated announcement regarding my son's birth. Since I use mostly Linux and my wife Mac OS. We'll have to wait and see which one he picks up first. But at least it won't be Windows. :-) James and Heather Gray are the proud parents of Owen James born 10:26 p.m. December 31st, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces and 22 inches long. Many fireworks were launched in his honor :-) All is well with Owen, Heather and James.

Has anyone here used ceph? I'm debating using it in a production cluster and would like input, alternatives, etc. Requirements: High availability, scales dynamically, fault tolerant, NO CODE CHANGES ( must appear as a posix compatible file system and be able to be mounted as such) nodes must be able to be added to the cluster at will. Prefer multi to multi copy for recovery (removed slow disk recovery bottleneck)
