What I do use is a little header lines in emacs and a setup where it updates the date whenver I save the file. This way I know when I last edited the file (inside emacs at least) which is a great way to keep on top of things. I'd be happy to share with what I do in emacs. Sadly no. I've looked at DokuWiki a couple of times. The problem is this. I'm lazy. The lowest barrier to entry is simply a directory called "Notes" with a bunch of text files. Being text and using a unix-like system, I've got tools like grep to find stuff. I figure the next lowest thing is some program that lets me take notes that I can then organize into some index and search against it as well. Beyond that now it becomes hosted somewhere, etc. Tim. The A/V Fiasco last night..

It's clear to me that this self hosted Jitsi instance isn't up to the task, either under powered or the version of jitsi they let you install is deficient. On a very cool side note, my co-worker Nick Howgrave-Graham, who a couple years ago came and gave a talk about encryption and math and public private key stuff. The researchers who found this flaw cited his work.. You get this type of room by clicking on "book a meeting URL" right under the normal window that says "start meeting" at the top of the Jitsi Meet page. With regards to the sound, I have a Thinkpad X1 and when I use the 3.5mm audio jack on the side I have not been able to get the microphone to work properly, so I use a USB sound card or USB headphones to hear and speak. This requires me to configure the sound options on the system. You can also select which speakers and microphones you want to use in the Jitsi application itself right before you "join the meeting". Just click on "settings". You may have to dicker with the volume a bit in your system settings. I've mostly seen putty used by Windows users, and Linux users that recently moved from Windows. If you were using it, you would know. You should be good. Putty just announced that versions earlier than 0.80 were generating ecdsa-sha2-nistp521 that were flawed.. If you have any of these keys lying around, destroy them and regenerate keys. Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".
