Re: [Wlug] Where to get free WiFi

by E Johnson

I live under the flight path --hardly ever hear anything coming or going at night; never anything of commercial size. Occasional prop plane; rare baby jet. I think they have mostly daytime operations up there. But again, who/what company shuts down their routers and the other stuff, just to go back the next day and boot it all up again. That makes zippo sense to me. Liz On Jun 30, 2017 22:13, "Richard Klein" <richspk(a)gmail.com> wrote: > Thanks, Eric! > > Incidentally, the airport does, apparently, close sometimes. Thanks, Eric! Incidentally, the airport does, apparently, close sometimes. I haven't figured out where the hours are posted. For that matter, the library itself. I can't imagine they would shutdown their routers & everything else just for one day, would they? Maybe they do, but you could probably test it from the parking lot on Sunday when they are normally closed anyway. Although the airport sounds groovier, plus the rest rooms there might be open too. It looks like the airport has free WiFi and free short term parking. I'm guessing they are open 24 hours. I realize it's risky, but I don't have internet to my house and looking things up on my tiny phone screen is driving me nuts. I have a laptop running opensuse that's useless without WiFi. Where to get free WiFi

by Richard Klein

Does anyone know where in or near Worcester I can get WiFi without buying food, when the libraries are closed? Do any of the colleges have guest wifi?
