I would recommend OPIE over Qtopia. Its the fork of Qtopia. It seems to making very good process. Qtopia has been quiet lately. Converting an iPAQ

For the last few months I've been hoping to save up some money and get a Zaurus, I don't think that it's going to happen any time soon. So, I've got an iPAQ that I can't sync, or even connect, with my linux laptop and it's beginning to get on my nerves. So, even though I've got some software on my iPAQ that I'll miss (a Bible Reader with the Greek Text and SimCity 2000), I'm thinking that it's time to take the plunge and get Linux and Qtopia on my 3835. Three Questions, 1. Has anyone on the list done this, especially with this model? 2. Has anyone who has done this used any of theKompany's embedded apps? 3. Is there anyone willing to help me do this face to face? I could do this on my own, but the idea of potentially owning a $599 paperweight dims my enthusiasm when I think of going it alone. (I'll buy the coffee) I've got a serial adapter, so that's not a problem. So, what do you say, anyone out there willing to teach me something new? Wes --

I have moved them by myself but I recommend two people for any move greater than 20 feet. Especially if you have to go up or down any steps, even just one or two. Free to a good home

I've got a 20" Sun branded Trinitron monitor (GDM-20D10) that is yours if you just come fetch it from me in Worcester. Why is it free? Because the cable that's pigtailed on is busted and it doesn't do red very well anymore. The connector on the end of the cable is at 13W3. It should be fixable by just opening the thing up and replacing the cable. Any takers? Scott

Stat Gathering

Hey Guys, I'd like to collect some stats on a few servers over time. Things like bandwidth usage, load averages, used/free memory, disk I/O. Does anyone have any favorite tools to do this easily. Also... Anything that makes pretty graphs to show management would be bonus points. Thanks, -Marc

It's meant to put the word "draft" as a watermark on each page. One of the options is to change the word "draft" to something else. (Text is all I wanted on the watermark.) Thanks, Bill

I would like to note that I have expressed WLUG's general displeasure with BUG to the president of BUG, Rick Zach. He told me that the calendar issue would be cleared up if we chose to renew our membership. Clint Moyer is quite correct when he points out that WLUG can afford the $50 if we so choose, but unfortunately we're not at five figures in the bank (unless you count the two figures for cents). :-) Certainly, if we did decide to renew, I would attend any/all BUG meetings, insure that WLUG had a presence at the MegaMeeting, etc. I did this last year after we paid our initial $50 membership fee. I'll sit back a bit longer and wait for any other comments from WLUG members on this topic. I'll probably close the topic by this weekend, unless the discussion is lively at that time.
