Peram, I'll ask an obvious question... You've verified that both machines running the same version of the java run time environment? Also, does the entire applet fail or does it just fail to display the graph. If so, you might have to insert some code to catch exceptions... Possibly some library has gotten mangled... are you running it from the comand line? or an applet? Get any errors on your command line? Did you try on the same machine booting 2.4.16 and 2.4.7 to verify that it is the kernel? Newbie to mailing list- Issue with the generation of graphs in redhat 6.2

Hi , I've a program that generates graphs with Java 1.3.1_01. The same program is able to generate graphs on a machine with RH 6.2 kernel 2.4.16 but it fails to generate graphs on a machine with RH 6.2 kernel 2.4.7-10 on which it used to generate before. I've installed KDE and gd thinking that something may broken in the OS on the jpegs generation part. But that doesn't seem to help. I'd appreciate if any of you gurus can guide me in this issue with your comments and suggestions. IIRC, it's a black background, with a white (green?) little cartoon character that's basically a big nose with little feet. The little noseguy walks a little bit across the screen, stops, and a little ponder bubble appears above his "head" that displays something from the fortune file. I found that http://www.practicallynetworked.com/ as a good site with review on DSL/Cable routers and home wireless equipment. www.homepna.org was another good site for home networks. But if you were looking at basic information such as installing NIC card and Ethernet Basics. Microsoft Press has a Network book; Cisco Press has a Network book. Both book are the basis for each's Cert Exam Curriculum. Setag Lib, Microsoft linux is very very good. I use it all the time, though I find I keep getting "SEG_HATESELF" errors all the time. I'd be very interested in helping you get those diamonds out of your country! I am part of the non profit group "Wereever Others are Oppressed, Keep Intacted Entegrity" a.k.a. "WOOKIE".
