Have been using right along in Suse 8.1, just installed it the other day with Suse 8.2. If you have trouble with Linux look at the file zaurus_check-1.0. http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=853 I would assume it could be helpful in automating the sync with the desktop for the 5600. Obviously I don't have a 5600 but this is what worked for me with a 5500. John

Well ... I changed how things work, so I did tinker with the php a lot. But there is a whole theme-system that's pretty in-depth. If you're willing to make a new theme, you can drastically change how things look. Of course most people don't do that and just pick a default theme, so they all look similar. Without working on it, I'm not sure how non-standard you can get for any CMS system. There are at least as many unsupported scanners in that list as supported scanners. My first shopping trip (to Staples in Westborough) yielded no supported scanners in the low-cost range. But, how much can you change things around without having to re-write all the php? I think it is pretty easy to spot a phpnuke-based site.... Or, is it just easy to spot a phpnuke-based site that hasn't been customized? Then again, I'm willing to live with some of the look-and-feel limitations if it really is easy to get going... How long did it take you to get going? Zope does have a fairly steep learning curve. The biggest advantage it has is python. Since zope is written in python you can create "products" fairly quickly using existing building blocks. These building blocks handle most of the security for you. Now that I crossed over the hump of the learning curve I can implement a new object in less than a day. This includes all the programing to fully integrate it into my "product" and creation of the presentation layer to add, modify and delete the object. There is a Boston Zope Users Group (bzug), but it has been very quite lately. I have also spent a week at zope hq for training. The e330 uses the Intel ARM Xscale processor. This cpu is supported by the arm linux people. However, getting Linux loaded on this platform may be pretty hard. Would involve cross compiling a kernel, setting up a file system, and getting the thing to boot. Depends if Toshiba supports it. I believe Compaq semi supports the pocket PC Linux, but i have no personal experience with it. I would recommend against it, unless you really know what your doing, or want to do some hacking and you don't mind trashing your e330's existing filesystem.
