I'm not aware of any VNC client for KDE on Wayland, anyway (rather annoying that each compositor has to reimplement the same functionality).

With 95% of most linux users only using desktops or laptops, and not doing remote desktops across WAN connections, they don't realize how poor wayland is for that type of work. I got a new desktop system for home and installed Ubuntu 24.10 (?) as a test, usualy I use linux Mint for my desktop. Anyway... x2go wouldn't work when connecting to another system, so I googled a bit and figured out I needed to change my desktop to use X11 instead of Wayland. Once I did that, it was ok. I can dig up details if people need them. John

x11 on ubunt24

This might be old news, but Ubunt 24.0.X can still run X11 https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/how-to-switch-from-x11-to-wayland-on-live-ub… CodeLight is no longer seems to lock up and a Steam/wine game I play seems to start without errors. I have not spent much time testing this.
