This morning Salon.com has story on where recycled computers sometimes go: http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/04/10/ewaste/ There's also an accompanying story on how to recycle your computer: http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/04/10/greenguide/ You may need to agree to something to view the full articles for free if you don't have a subscription. I have to admit I've never given it a second thought and have left old PCs and monitors out on the walk for the trash pickup plenty of times in the past. -- Gary

I have zero interest in putting it up on Ebay, since it means I need to actually pack and ship the crap. It's just not worth it to me. But hey, if *you* want to do it, I'd be happy to give you all the stuff and you can do it. John

There is a place in Leominster that will take it and you pay them .10cents a pound. I took 600 lbs of stuff there a while back....50 bux i think....now that i think of it, im not sure i ever paid them...but its good for the world, as they do recycle it all. --- Jared Greenwald <greenwaldjared(a)gmail.com> wrote: > Ebay. Recycling centers

by John Stoffel

Anyone have a good suggestion for a place to recycle junk computers cheaply. I've got a pile of dead equipment starting to fill my garage and now that it's spring, it's time to get rid of it all. Most of it actually works, it's just all P133 or PIIs and they're not worth the effort to keep running any more. Plus I've got some work stuff to get rid of too, monitors and such. John
