Can I ask what method you used for installing Linux on it? I've got an NVMe drive in my pi5 as well, but all of the images I've seen expect to be dd'ed onto the device rather than a traditional install, which makes choosing a different filesystem or using LVM difficult. I've been planning on sitting down and doing a debootstrap based install at some point, but if you've found something easier I'd love to hear it. m.2 for pi5!

I recently got all the bits so that I can stick a 1TB nvme on my pi5! it almost makes it feel like a "real" server. I'll probably bring the whole contraption with me for the next wlug meeting! Oh and yes.. I'm using ZFS for the filesystem! Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".

There have been many times when jitsi worked well and times when roughness was clearly because the microphone was too far from the person speaking and somebody in the next room was using a jack hammer. To aid debugging here is my report: When I first got into the meeting, I could neither hear nor speak. Somebody fixed something and I could hear the meeting, but still could not speak. This was definitely a problem on my end. I went a "settings" menu where you choose whether to use the built-in microphone or the one on the headset. I had already chosen (correctly) the headset, but this time I noticed a scroll bar on the side and when I scrolled down it revealed a volume control which was set to zero. When I set it to one I could be heard. For a while it all worked well. Kevin gave a Very Impressive demo. Then you decided to change things around. I think I heard someone say something like "you need to use the microphone that goes with that window". The sound cut off. I figured you were working on it, and said nothing. When Kevin resumed his demo I could not hear it. Several people complained via the text-based "chat". The little window with Kevin's pictrure had a "muted" icon (micrphone with slash thru). Nobody seemed to be watching the chat and it no longer worked when I tried shouting. I suspect that if anyone had noticed that Kevin had was muted and pressed the correct "unmute" button, all would have been good again. -- Keith

Sorry about the A/V issues last night on Jitsi..

I recently bought for my pi5 an actual cooler amd a hat that'll let me connect a m.2. I've hinted at setting up a zulip server and other stuff on it and then serving it over a tailsacale funnel.
