Change in meeting date: New meeting date: June 16th.

by Tim Keller

Hey Everybody, I've got a schedule conflict for June 9th. I'm moving the meeting off a week to the 16th. We've got a Signal group going if you want to stop in and nerd out. https://signal.group/#CjQKIB4V_icJ7j26US0jRIAZoQtCbNXPk5LAm9qSyKGOhiEBEhBbD… Josh also created a quick topic suggestion box for meeting ideas: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeRO4YZLTmeYlzOXO7T7Fr8aQB4JfCRqhs… You need to sign in to google to use it.. I think it's worth talking to Chuck about modifying the website to have a suggestions box added.. who knows.. all ideas welcome. Thanks, Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".

Re: Reminder! WLUG Meeting tomorrow! May 12th, 2022, 7PM Hudson Public Library.

I hope some of us can come in for the physical meeting! I'm looking forward to meeting some folks and going out for food afterward like we usually do. - Josh On Thu, May 12, 2022 at 3:43 PM John Stoffel <john(a)stoffel.org> wrote: > >>>>> "Kevin" == Kevin Stratton via WLUG <wlug(a)lists.wlug.org> writes: > > Kevin> Does anyone want to speculate how this might affect > Kevin> heterogeneous computing ? This is really just the low level kernel drivers they're opening up, not the upper parts of the stack. The only way things will open up is when large customers require interoperability sot hey can move workloads between systems easily. Until then... not too likely. John

Does anyone want to speculate how this might affect heterogeneous computing ? I would be excited if there evolves a common standard between CUDA OpenCL. I might even be motivated to learn such an environment. Reminder! WLUG Meeting tomorrow! May 12th, 2022, 7PM Hudson Public Library.

by Tim Keller

Hey Everybody! Sorry for the late meeting reminder! Yes, we do have a meeting tomorrow at the Hudson Public Library! Time: 7PM I'm hoping to be there in person, but I may have to attend virtually. I'm floundering a bit on a topic at the moment, if someone has an idea, please let me know. Next month I'd like to get Dick to talk to about the photo editing software. Zori has also expressed an interest in talking about TrueNAS. TrueNAS Scale is also an interesting product as well. So this meeting might be an open topic meeting. Thanks, Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".
