Missing Inkscape from Suse Linux 9.2

Hi All: Recently, I installed Suse Linux Pro 9.2 on an HP laptop. The box the software came in prominently lists, as an included program, Inkscape, the open-source vector graphics editor. The mystery is that I can find no reference to Inkscape anywhere in the system, not even in Yast when searching in the "Install and Remove Software" dialog. Now perhaps I messed up and didn't choose Inkscape during the initial install, but shouldn't Yast still list Inkscape as a "Not Installed" package? My other thought is that perhaps Inkscape is included when you install from the 2 DVD's, but somehow Novell messed up and didn't include it on the 5 CD's. Thanks, Doug

I returned it and got one that was mentioned on the website (above) and have had no problems since. I'd recommend some care with cameras. My Logitech camera uses the pwc driver which has minor issues with Linux. Maybe the USB 2.0 devices fare better. Just about any off-the-shelf "flash stick" or USB-connected hard drive enclosure will all use the kernel's usb-storage and SD drivers. Lots of cameras, too. Brian J. e-Commerce Software

Looking for some insight from you folks. Does anyone have experience with this? Here are some params: Runs on linux Does not need to be open source but that's a bonus Standard software platform i.e. Java / PHP / Perl based SOE friendly (nice urls, shallow link depth , crawlable catalog) Ability to manage inventory and fulfillment. (this is more of a bonus) Any thoughts ?

The program that I use is moto4lin, and is available for free from SourceForge at: http://moto4lin.sourceforge.net/wiki/Main_Page . One may (or may not) need p2kmoto, which is available from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/moto4lin (the information is available from the main page). All-told, the installation of both parts are covered in the documentation, and it's pretty straight-forward. Second, I had asked several about Ruby tutorials, and mentioned that I found one source that was a bit... ...odd, though I couldn't remember the name of it.
