Well, as usual, I have something to say on this matter....whether or not I have something to actual ADD, ill leave up to you! We use MS Active Directory to authenticate users onto our linux servers. Altho I am no expert, I can share with ya'll my config files and experiance. Our meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 10th at 7:00 PM. What will we discuss this month? I was hoping somebody had an iRivier or iPod MP3 player with the Linux software working that would bring it to the meeting to demo it, but so far, nobody has volunteered. (iRiver, iPod, iAudio, for what does the 'i' stand - individual??). One possible area of interest is directory services (LDAP). I don't think we've ever had a talk on that subject. Mike's two questions are your best bets right now. If sshd is running and iptables isn't blocking port 22,check your system log. Also, go into /etc/ssh/sshd_config and set LogLevel=DEBUG. That will give us loads of info. Also, what are you using for a client? if you're using ssh, turn on debug on the client side. if you're using puTTY, you can just view the event log by right clicking on the title bar (although you'll have to configure it to not close on exit). SSH connection.

Friends, I' ve just re-build the need for my web server. Openssl, openssh, mm, and other defined files are re-compiled with the latest .tar version. Now, I have web server compilled with that. No problem so far the work of the server.' Now, I get "connection refused" when I tried to connect using ssh to the server. Can you please help me here friends ? Should I install a new ssh server ?
