fedora core 1 or 2 with lirc remote control program

Fyi... Found my solution. Fedora core 1 and lirc only works with v7.0pre4 and lower. In pre5, 6, 7, something is broken to cause ati remote wonder to stop responding. Sonny

Anyone interested in building a linux version of XP MCE?

Brian, I did not take it negatively. =) Just interested in starting something new (from scratch). I guess I can always look into mythtv and then work on adding plugins. Still would like to have something my own (or initialed by me)...you know what I mean? Sonny

I am talking about (a) one server that house data or (b) peer to peer network...every machine on that lan can view each others streaming video (dvd, vcd, and such), audio (mp3 or ogg), and photo (*.jpg etc). what will spawn from this is.... 1) remote control testing on linux 2) tv converters (both software and hardware) 3) customized itx or atx system configuration (www.mini-itx.com) 4) additions... i) voicemail/fax system ii) games system iii) video survilence system iv) and the list will go on...
