Hi all A friend sent me the following. Thought you guys might enjoy it. I was having trouble with my computer. So I called the computer guy, to come over. He clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem and gave me a bill for a minimum service call. As he was walking away, I called after him, "So, what was wrong?" He replied, "It was an `ID ten T' error." I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired: "An, ID ten T error? What's that .... In case I need to fix it again?" "Write it down," he said, "and I think you'll figure it out." So I wrote out ...... I D 1 0 T

Thanks for the link. it does, it's called ftpfs.sf.net but it's deprecated in favor of lufs.sf.net, a much more general framework for developing random filesystems over random protocols -mike

I checked out your link, followed the link to ftpfs, which said it was obsoleted by LUFS, so I wonder if the same holds true for shfs. Either way, these things ARE cool. Linux rules!

I just saw this on one of the other lists I'm on and I'm testing it out and it seems to work. http://shfs.sourceforge.net/ It lets you mount a remote filesystem over an SSH link. ala mount -t shfs root@someserver /mnt/localmntpnt Very cool. Tim.

First, did you drop them into /lib/modules/whatever and run "depmod -a"? You'll need that to figure out the dependencies, so that modprobe can auto-load dependent modules. Second, if you have the kernel source, you can search for the names of the unresolved symbols and find out what drivers provide them. -Chuck
