CUPS + Samba + Win2000

Help with Audio on Linux

Gurus I have a P-IV with AC97 on i810 (AvanceLogic ALC200/200P). I am unable to get FullDuplex audio working. I have installed the RC2 release of ALSA drivers but still, mic and speakers don't work together. I am pretty sure I am missing something in the configs. I have not been able to get any leads from Google. (Rh7.2, kernel 2.4.9-31, alsa-drivers 0.9rc2) TIA Best regards Prakash Purushotham

I used to have a video card which would have issues rebooting after being in a graphic mode, it would never switch back to a text mode. No, nothing comes onto the screen until, in windows, my desktop appears, and in linux, didn't see lilo, I had to log in in the dark and call up an x session, and that comes up fine. I would try a new video card maybee. Reset your bios to factory "safe" values. Do you see the bios come up on the screen at all? Does lilo/grub or your bootloader come on the screen?
