The latest Jpilot and my IIIx are working pretty well, it actually hot syncs stuff nicely, and let's me edit my address book more easily as well... That's just my recent experience with RH 7.2 + updates system. John

PDA's and Linux

Hello all, I'm in the market for a decent PDA (Palm III died) and was wondering what everyone's experience has been with PDA's and synching with a Linux machine. I run Red Hat 7.1, not sure what kernel, but wanted to make sure the PDA and associated desktop software I bought would run under Linux. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

How about xscreensaver + all the plugins. cdparanoia + lame is a must (forget if that was metnioned or not). For coolnes i'm a big fan of Xplanet for my wallpaper. Maybe Blender for those 3d Artists, although i doubt many people woudl use it. I hear curl is pretty cool. A whole art section would actually be nice. The GIMP/Blender/xv. While these come with most distros, it's nice to just have a central place for them. A X11 true type fontserver + fonts would be nice. HOWTO's upto ying-yang too. Just a list off the top of my head. Tim, Star Office 6.0 isn't downloadable right now, but Open Office is. And the latest build of Open Office is actually further along in development than the 6.0 beta; I'd include that on any "killer apps" cd for sure.
