Reminder! Meeting TOMORROW!! May 8th, 2024
Hey Everybody, We've got a meeting tomorrow May 8th at 7PM. Physical Location: Technocopia 44 Portland St. Worcester Virtual location: https://jitsi.uvhash.org (The link won't be live until tomorrow, the instance is currently powered off) Topics: Latest version of KiCAD? Ondsel CAD: Ramifications of a company pumping money into FreeCAD.. IBM eats another cloud tool.. On a different note, I know in the past we had an IRC channel going. Discussions sometimes get clunky on the mailing list. In the vein of self hosting, would people be interested in me standing up something like a Zulip server? https://zulip.com/ As always, I'll bring snacks and refreshments and we'll head off to continue the conversation for dinner! Hope to see you there! Later, Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".
I cannot make this meeting due to a conflict. Zulip sounds interesting for a daily chat. Catch you all another time. Joel On May 7, 2024 9:38:32 PM Tim Keller via WLUG <wlug@lists.wlug.org> wrote:

I too had trouble joining; it repeatedly said "you have been disconnected". When I finally was able to join I assumed that was because the meeting did not start until a few minutes after 7:00, but maybe something else was happening. -- Keith
It's clear to me that this self hosted Jitsi instance isn't up to the task, either under powered or the version of jitsi they let you install is deficient. Next meeting we'll go back to using the other jitsi service that worked and explore other options. Thanks, Tim. On Wed, May 8, 2024, 10:28 PM Keith Wright via WLUG <wlug@lists.wlug.org> wrote:
