Has anyone used or built one of these? https://github.com/pikvm/pikvm/ It looks really interesting way to get a reasonably cheap IP KVM for home use. Though with the pain of getting RPi4s these days... it's going to take me a while to actually build one. Not sure if I wnat to spend $160 for the HAT though... the slightly flaky USB dongle so I can see my home server screen when needed it's probably more than enough. John
I have not, but have you heard of tinypilot? A bit cheaper and I've heard good things.

The tinypilot looks to be based on this design, but with a more
professional support. Not sure I can justify $300+ for a device I
won't use too often, though it *is* tempting. But for now I just have
a keyboard plugged in my server and I hook up the VGA when I need it,
which isn't often.
If only RPi4s were available, I'd do my own hacky solution.

I think this is very much the same thing as I pointed out. But I
wouldn't mind building my own from a kit. The big part right now is
getting a RPi for a good price, they're scarce right now!
