Hook the RCA stereo outputs up to the line in jack on your sound card (or motherboard). You'll need a male stereo RCA to male stereo mini (1/8" I think) adapter (can get from Radio Shack, etc). Then set up to record from line in. Someone can help you with the SW from there--shouldn't be too hard. Once you get it on your HDD you can do whatever with it: burn to CD, make a MP3/Ogg Vorbis compressed version, etc.
It is the software / system I'm looking for information on., specifically on Linux... Also, making a copy on DVD so when the tape finally dies, I have a nackup...
