This is an unrooted Motorola Droid Turbo on Verizon. I found that I can go into Developer Settings on the phone, set the USB connection type to RNDIS, and my computer sees a USB network connection, but I haven't been able to get an IP address assigned; it says "connecting" for a bit, then fails.
