man mount
have you tried remounting it as rw. specify when you call mount to remount it as rw. otherwise explore the riserfsck more.
Something to try.. If nothing else, backup the data and reformat
I got the bright idea...finally...to look at the boot partition (hdb5). I ran badblock and it came back with no bad blocks. Next reiserfsck --fix-fixable /dev/hda5 was run with the following results: reiserfs_open: bitmap 0 was marked free reiserfs_open: first bitmap looks corrupted Analyzing journal..Segmentation fault Could this be why my drives are mounting as readonly?
