This is a possible idea too... but I'm really looking for a product that my wife and other family members will operate... and they're not techy geeks like me. Which is partly why I'd like a touch screen, since the wife expressed frustration with the current crappy one we have which you can't look back easily at a picture which just passed. I do have a dead nexus tablet which probably just needs a new battery... but again I don't want to have to write anything for it. Not my interest... But thanks for the ideas! 1. local photo storage 2. touch screen control 3. automatic dimming/brightening and ideally power off when no one is around. 4. 10" in size approx. 5. IPS display for the widest possible angles and best colors. 6. High Resolution display. 7. "Nix Advance 8-Inch Digital Photo Frame" doesn't have Wifi, and uses a remote. So I like that it's not cloud based... but for remote family members it won't work as well. And probably a bit small.
