Hey Gang, The next meeting is on the 14th. We still don't have a speaker lined up. I know there was some interest in ZFS vs. XFS vs. JFS. I'd expressed some interest in 3d printing and what OSS software was on the market. Chunk, do you have an alternative location lined up for us? Next Meeting Topic: ZFS on linux?

Next Meeting June 11th, 2015: Topic: ZFS on linux

Hey Everybody, Our next meeting is going to be on June 11th, 2015 @ 7:00pm. The topic is going to be "ZFS on linux". What is ZFS? ZFS is a logical volume manager (LVM), raid subsystem and a file system combined. I'll be doing a deep dive on how ZFS works on linux, it's strengths and weaknesses. Snacks and refreshments will be available. I'm working with Frank to verify the location. Frank is going to be doing a talk to Software Defined Networks (SDN's). What they are, what they do, why they're better than traditional networks.
