Our speaker will be WLUG member Tim Keller, and the topic will be Pygame. The meeting room is near the former Access Grid room. If you walk into the main entrance to Morgan Hall, and turn right toward the dining hall, you will see a door on your right just before the dining hall. Enter that door and there will be a short hallway. We will be in the room on the right. This is the same place where we met last month. I'll try to remember to put up a penguin poster to guide you. Afterwards, we'll go out for pizza and more great conversation, as is our tradition. Any and all are welcome to attend. All are welcome to attend. Our guest speaker will be Shankar Viswanathan who will talk about the Open Street Map project. This promises to be a great talk that you won't want to miss! Afterwards, we'll go out for pizza and soda and the usual camaraderie that always accompanies us to that local establishment. In addition, we need to finalize our plans for the annual WLUG BBQ which is currently scheduled for Thursday, July 23rd. I am hopeful that someone will be willing to host this event. Next Meeting January 16th, 2025 Topic: SilverBlue Atomic / Win10 EOL and what that means for us.

Hey Everybody! On Thursday we'll have our first meeting of 2025! Time: 7PM Date: January 16th, 2025 Location: Technocopia, 44 Portland St. Floor 6 Virtual Location: https://meet.jit.si/WlugMA I don't have an "official" topic at the moment, if there's an itch you want to scratch, by all means let me know! As for our topic about SilverBlue and atomic desktops, I'm more than willing to create a VM on the spot and we can play with it. Microsoft is abandoning lots of people because their systems won't run windows 10. Personally I've had a couple of people reach out to me asking about linux and I suspect that those of us who advocate for FOSS are going to get an influx of questions. What works, what doesn't, ehow do people play games, etc.. As usual, we'll head off for dinner afterwards and keep the conversation going!
