Hey Everybody, We've got a meeting tonight. I'll be in our usual haunt (WPI Campus Center Mid Century Room (rm 331)) at 7PM. As this was a short notice meeting, I suspect the attendance might be sparse. Josh, why don't we plan for February so you're not on the spot and I can get the word out a bit better. I'm thinking tonight might be a bit freeform which is always fun! We can also talk about things that we might all find interesting for up coming topics. As usual snacks and refreshments will be provided and afterwards we'll head off for dinner. See you there! Reminder! Meeting Next Week on May 13th 2021!

Hey Gang! We've got a meeting on May 13th! For topics, there's a whole lot to talk about! Obviously the UMN stuff, as well as the x86 decoder fun. I think it's worth revisiting having in person meetings.. At some point here in the near future a majority of us are going to be vaccinated. I'll reach out to Kevin (if he's not already reading this!) and see what Technopia's policies are going to be. Whatever we do, I think we've all agreed it makes sense to keep the virtual component going as well. To that point, I'll be getting my second shot on Tuesday so I might be not feeling great, we'll see. What do people think? I suggest "The year in Linux" as a default (following up on your above musings). It would be better than no topic at all and is broad enougth that we should be able to kindle some sort of fire with it. Summary: get a topic, anything reasonable, up on the web page asap. :-) doug

Reminder: Meeting tonight! Topic: Intel Pocket PC (and possible give away!)

Hey Everybody! We've got a meeting tonight!! Location: Hudson Public Library Time: 7pm Topic: Intel Pocket PC running RetroArch, etc. I was given four of these tiny pocket pc's. I'm going to run RetroArch on one and see what we get. I also think they'd be cool as a plex driver for a TV as well. Beyond that, there's a lot going on in the linux world, from the Intel pay for features stuff to the Nvidia opening up ( a tiny bit ). We should also talk about where we'd like to host meetings. I reached out to Frank and it looks like WPI is back on the table. Would that work better for people? See ya there! Hey Everybody! Here are the details: Date: December 11th, 2025 @ 7pm Location: Technocopia, 44 Portland Ave. Worcester Ma. Virtual Location: https://meet.jit.si/WlugMA Topic: Bazzite Wow, it's been a crazy year! I'm going to do a quick talk on bazzite. A linux distribution focused on gaming. Atomic in nature it's focused on providing a great stable gaming environment. This is a topic that's hitting close to me as my wife's gaming windows 10 machine is incapable of running win11.. My hope is that this will do everything she needs to do and more. Hopefully I'll have a demo to do as well showing off a machine running bazzite. After the meeting we'll head off for dinner and continue the conversation! I hope to see you there!
