Meeting in Hudson and Main Street Contest

by Joshua Stone

Hey all, I'm posting to confirm that the venue for our upcoming in-person meeting at 7PM will be held at the Hudson Public Library! We may also want to look into eating options after the meeting, many of which are on Main Street: https://www.discoverhudson.org/taste/ My vote goes to the Rail Trail Flatbread which is close to the library and has some incredibly tasty menu items! And speaking of main streets, I'm happy to announce that Hudson has become a semi-finalist for the Main Street Contest! https://mainstreetcontest.com https://mainstreetcontest.com/profile/102 I think it's awesome that the town has seen so much growth since we moved here and gives us a sense of community. I'm excited to see where it'll go! - Josh

Hi All, I also get my second shot Tuesday. Go team Phyz! I can do remote meeting this week. Can do either Jitsi or in person in June and beyond. Meeting April 12th, 2018 Topic: Security oriented Linux distributions.

by Tim Keller

Hey Gang, Our next meeting will be April 12th, 2018. Time: 7pm Location: WPI Mid Century Room rm 331 The topic of this meeting will be Security Oriented Linux(s). In short these are versions of linux that attempt to harden your machine through encryption, process isolation, etc. and obscure your access to the internet using proxies and tor. This will include Tails, Kali, Whonix, Qubes, etc. If you are using one of the above, drop me a quick line. Otherwise, I'll be running all of these as VMs on my machine. Snacks and refreshments will be provided and afterwards we'll head off for dinner and keep the conversation going. Thanks, Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".

Just an FYI. If I go to "wlug.org" I see April being the next meeting.
