Hey Everybody! We've got a meeting this week! Date: May 22nd Time: 7PM Location: Technocopia Virtual Location: https://meet.jit.si/WlugMA Topic: Mini-PC.Long time WLUG member John Stoffel has graciously agreed to show off his new, small but mighty desktop. We'll put it through its paces with a couple quick demos and tests. We'll likely get OpenWebUI running on it, as well as Cadoodle. I recently started (trying!) to use a glove80 keyboard so I'll bring that along so people can give it a try as well. As usual, we'll head off for dinner afterwards to keep the conversation going. Just to bridge the gap... Andy, I'm copying this to the local Ubuntu Community (LoCo) Team (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MassachusettsTeam) as although I can never make these meetings myself, I thought someone else there might be able to, and might be interested in demoing. It is short notice, though... Also, it might be interesting to compare with the latest beta of Intrepid (8.10) as that's due out next month, and I believe KDE's gone through a major change between the two releases. I'll let someone more knowledgeable speak to that... WLUG Meeting Tomorrow! Topic: Security Oriented Linux

Hey Gang, Our next meeting will be April 12th, 2018. Time: 7pm Location: WPI Mid Century Room rm 331 The topic of this meeting will be Security Oriented Linux(s). In short these are versions of linux that attempt to harden your machine through encryption, process isolation, etc. and obscure your access to the internet using proxies and tor. This will include Tails, Kali, Whonix, Qubes, etc. If you are using one of the above, drop me a quick line. Otherwise, I'll be running a few of these as VMs on my machine. Snacks and refreshments will be provided and afterwards we'll head off for dinner and keep the conversation going. John, Thank you for your input! I was unfamiliar with duc's UI when I first tried using it, but now I'm much more proficient with it. I'm more than happy to share my findings with you so that more people can benefit from useful tools like this.
