Linux Showcase and upcoming WLUG meeting

HI everybody, I will be attending the Annual Linux Showcase in Oakland, CA on Nov 8 - Nov 10. Is anybody else from the group planning to attend? I'm flying out on Nov 3 to see relatives in Los Angeles, and then I'll fly up to Oakland for the conference. I'll be sure to have a trip report for you all at the next WLUG meeting on Wednesday, November 14th. WLUG Meeting Thursday June 11th, 2015 Topic: ZFS on linux! NEW LOCATION!!!

The next WLUG meeting is June 11th, 2015. @ 7pm. NOTE: THE MEETING WILL BE IN THE CAMPUS CENTER RM 129 aka "Chairman's Room" I will be speaking about native ZFS on linux. I'll go into the structure of ZFS and its design principles, and how it's used in production. I'll then do a demo showing off what ZFS can do and I'll create a bunch of different FS types, etc. It should be a blast. Like usual there will be refreshments available. We established a connection between the two computers and showed the crowd how we did it. We did not prepare anything in advance, so the 1 or 2 snags that we hit (and quickly fixed) ended up being more realistic to the audience. Many folks commented that they liked this style over the formal presentation style (which seldom says what to do when things *don't* work).
