Linux Showcase and upcoming WLUG meeting

HI everybody, I will be attending the Annual Linux Showcase in Oakland, CA on Nov 8 - Nov 10. Is anybody else from the group planning to attend? I'm flying out on Nov 3 to see relatives in Los Angeles, and then I'll fly up to Oakland for the conference. I'll be sure to have a trip report for you all at the next WLUG meeting on Wednesday, November 14th. WLUG Meeting Thursday June 11th, 2015 Topic: ZFS on linux! NEW LOCATION!!!

The next WLUG meeting is June 11th, 2015. @ 7pm. NOTE: THE MEETING WILL BE IN THE CAMPUS CENTER RM 129 aka "Chairman's Room" I will be speaking about native ZFS on linux. I'll go into the structure of ZFS and its design principles, and how it's used in production. I'll then do a demo showing off what ZFS can do and I'll create a bunch of different FS types, etc. It should be a blast. Like usual there will be refreshments available. Great meeting last night... but we need topics...

Hey Gang, Thanks for everybody who showed up, we had a great time! We also had a couple new people show which was great! However, it's clear that even doing the virtual meetings, we need to have a topic.. we simply ran out of stuff to talk about... For the next meeting I'm going to do a talk on https://min.io/ It's an open source object storage system that works just like S3 only you can host it locally.
