Hey Everybody, We've got a meeting this week at Technocopia! Time: 7pm Date: September 14, 2023 Location: Technocopia 44 Portland Street 6th Floor Worcester MA. I'm always afraid we won't have anything to talk about and then we end up talking for 2 hours!! We can definitely talk about Linux Kernel 6.6, Intel downfall bug and other stuff. We'll head off for dinner afterwards and continue the conversation. Snacks and refreshments will be provided! Update: I went ahead with reserving a meeting time for us tomorrow to ensure it'd be available to the club -- 7:00PM to 8:15PM. I loaded this software onto my laptop, but unfortunately, I cannot get dual monitors working, and that means the projector won't work with my laptop in its current state. I've seen a lot of bug reports and complaining about this problem, but nothing that I've tried will make it work. If/when I do get it working, I'll bring my laptop to the meeting, but it is not looking promising. Failing that, as a backup, if anybody has a laptop that is running this software, and has its output VGA port configured for 1024x768@60Hz (and tested prior to the meeting!), and would like to lead a discussion, please let me know. [OT] Introduction

Hi all. I wanted to quickly introduce myself. I just recently subscribed to the list and wanted to do a bit more than lurk. I hope to make a LUG meeting in the near future also. I don't want to waste too much bandwidth so I'll keep this short. If anyone is going up to the Ottawa Linux Symposium this month, maybe we can catch up and make some introductions, for everyone else, I look forward to meeting you all the LUG meeting. As I side note, I read the archives and wanted to second the idea for a "distro debate" LUG meeting. I think that would be really interesting to see what everyone runs and why.
