VPN services are a good tool for privacy. However, they they still rely on the trust in the ownership/VPN service country's laws and policies. A VPN service is effectively a 'man in the middle'. Eagle to KiCad conversion?

Guys, This is a total shot in the dark, but I'm wondering if anyone here has taken an Eagle project design, stripped out pretty much everything but the holes and outline of a board, and them imported it all into KiCad 5? I'm trying to build a cape for an AdaFruit Gemma M0 board (which I'll be happy to talk about at some point down the line at a meeting) where it auto-matically turns my sound bar on/off and the TV is turned on/off. Not more having to hunt for the sound bar remote! I've been vaguely beating my head against the wall here, esp since it's my first ever board design. Lots to learn! John

gettin' the Sparc Classic on the network...

Hello all, Settin' up the box I won at the last WLUG meeting. I wanna get it on the network here at work. When I watch the boot messages, I see "eth0 LANCE <mac address>" and "eth0 using auto-carrier-detection", but i don't see an entry for /dev/eth0 when i look there. I can ping the local loopback, but when I try to use DHCP in linuxconf to let it grab an address, but in ifconfig, i still only see the entry for the local loopback. Hi Tim, John and I were the only ones who showed that I know of. We stayed till about 7:15. I checked my email and the LUG website before I left (just in case). I understand that things sometimes happen, but found it amazing that only two of us showed.
