Sorry about the audio issue last night!

Hey Everybody, For those of you who were on the jitsi meeting, I'm sorry we had audio issues last night. I did some testing this morning and my jabra puck is broken. Thanks, Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".

To our members on the Jitsi call, sorry. Last night was *rough.* we tested stuff at our end and the issue was definitely at the Jitsi side of things. We may have to explore a different platform for the virtual meetings.. Thanks for the patience. Tim.

m.2 for pi5!

I recently got all the bits so that I can stick a 1TB nvme on my pi5! it almost makes it feel like a "real" server. I'll probably bring the whole contraption with me for the next wlug meeting! Oh and yes.. I'm using ZFS for the filesystem! Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".

Sorry about the A/V troubles..

Last night because I had the presentation full screened I failed to see that the audio had dropped out. For the next meeting I'm going to bring a dedicated laptop whose sole job is to be the "meeting" laptop that just drives Jitsi. As an aside, I'm glad everybody liked the presentation. Hey Gang, We've got a meeting! Date: Oct 11th, 2018 Time: 7pm Location: WPI Recreation Center Room 61 (RC61) Topic: TBD If anybody has a topic burning a hole in their pocket let me know. I've already got next months lined up! One option was to possibly demo a raspberry pi running a true 64bit version of debian. As usual, snacks and refreshments will be provided and afterwards we'll head off for dinner to continue the conversation. Oops. I should have said more. The chief interesting point of my new site is a new markup language specifically designed to make delivery of compact pages easy. It still needs work, but functions well on laptops and smartphones. It supports a variety of technologies including scientific visualizations, graphs, plots, and lots more. The full markup language is self-documenting.
