X11 app on Windows

Last meeting I mentioned that I was using WSL + an X11 app to develop on windows. Here is the X11 app I use. https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NLP712ZMN9Q It lets me easily run gnome-terminal and other apps remotely. [image: image.png] <Z>

I run graphical apps via X11 all the time but I don't know why you'd want to run a character terminal remotely when you have a perfectly good local character terminal that you can SSH from...

Hey Everybody, Happy New Year! Thanks for sticking with WLUG! It's been a year of change and challenges. We found ourselves a new home at Technocopia and make some new friends along the way. Especially if you run it on a linux which is upto date. I personally like Debian based stuff now, and use Linux Mint for my desktop. Haven't actually used it yet though. John
