swappiness

We had a discussion about swappiness at the last meeting. Here's what my system defaults to: >cat /etc/fedora-release Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg) >cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness 60 I don't see this being changed in any of the init scripts, so the default is most likely changed in the Fedora kernel from 100 to 60. OpenWrt

server outage

In case anyone noticed any problems with the mailing list, the server hosting it ate yet another hard drive. maxing out the cpu

2 meetings ago, someone was trying to push the cpu of Andy's homemade router to 100% using a for/loop of some sort....can someone remind me of the syntax of that? while true; do; done or something similar? thanks
