If you are looking for more (popular) productivity, try Blender for video editing. I only watch some of the first part of the video and I remember it being pretty good. Assembly compiler in Bash...

Hey Everybody, 1st... I won't make it to the meeting tonight, but in regards to the installfest on Saturday, I'm looking for a couple more installers/volunteers... 2nd... I was reading slashdot and saw that some guy wrote an assembly compiler in Bash... I think next someone needs to write a bash shell in scheme... Later, Tim.

Issue with CD's...

Hey All, I was able to make the cds with random linux stuff on them, but my other jobs to make the redhat cds and the debian cds got dropped because legitimate orders had to be run... So if people have the Redhat 7.1 and the Debian cd's bring them along. BTW, I've already scheduled an hour to use the burner to make the 10 copies for Staroffice so I should have them for the wlug meeting. Sorry for the screw up. Tim.

Free Stuff

I want to reduce the amount of stuff in my apartment, so I have free stuff to give away: 1) Sun Sparc IPX 2) Sun monitor (16" I think ... But it's huge) 3) Full tower PC case ... No power supply 4) Compaq 286 Laptop ... It works! 5) Super Nintendo (controllers, games, etc) 6) Pentium 233 + motherboard I'll bring all of it to the meeting, if you want something email me. If lots of people want any of those items, I'll ask Andy to raffle them off. -Marc
