We covered kernel compiling, initrd, kernel modules, and grub/lilo as it pertains to pointing to the kernel image to boot. There was a discussion on frame buffers as well. I thought the meeting went well. I also gave away quite a few Ubuntu Linux CDs which were recently sent to me. I have many more left, so if you want some for yourself and/or your friends, let me know! If you came to the meeting and couldn't find us, I apologize. We moved to a different room at the very last minute due to a scheduling conflict. Wes, Almost time ... here's a small check list to keep in mind. -make sure you have all your data backed up. -you will have to install bootblaster before you get to the meeting because you need to install it with activesync, which i don't have. here's the web page http://familiar.handhelds.org/releases/v0.6.1/install/install-bootldr.html do the steps up to 'installing the bootldr'. (We'll do that at the meeting). - you may want to bring your laptop with ppp and minicom installed (i think you said you had one). Once we have linux install i can set up ppp for you so you can talk to your ipaq from linux. I think that's it, let me know if you have any questions. --brad

I tried it when it came out and it didn't really seem to simplify installation at all. It was just a graphical representation of the actions normally performed on the command-line.
