A good topic is always security. Security concerning the installation of 3rd party applications and what measures should be taken to ensure a secure system possibly? I merely pointed my cellphone browser (google phone, if that matters) at the WLUG Jitsi link and it immediately offered me the free app ! (Part of the "too easy"if I don't mind "buying" a $0.00 app to attend meeting, battle cabin fever, show my ugly face and see my esteemed friends). TECH TWEAK for such meeting(s):? we should start with "audio/volume check", since our 10-or-so crowd unfortunately had "some kinda loud, others very weak" variables, and one might even get confused between weak/low-volume, vs other noise/combined-output issues. I did not know this and Frank has informed me that the Trustees have actually booked the airspace above WPI.. I'm going to declare that we move the meeting off a week. Possible swap meet?

As there is currently (AFAIK) no topic for the next Wednesday's WLUG meeting, I'd like to propose the possibility of a kinda sorta swap meet. I'm probably not the only person with an assortment of PC parts of dubious value. However one man's trash is another's treasure. Perhaps interested parties could bring their old parts to the meeting for possible exchange for someone else's. Is this practical, feasible, desireable or not a good idea at all?

Meeting topics...

I have started coming recently and I am very happy with the meeting format and content. I would be very interested in the security-type Linux discussions and demos, including related product demos and breakin & fixit seminars.
