I've got some technical concerns about the demo. Just want to make sure we have all the right stuff on hand. No VGA port on the laptop, just HDMI. The one time I tested that (yesterday) there was no audio through the HDMI. The laptop speakers are loud enough if you hold your ear close. Can we patch into the sound system with a mini-jack? (Or does someone have a pair of micro-speakers they can bring along in their pocket?) Well, you probably couldn't do a Stage 1 install. Seems like you'd have to do like a Stage 3 and use --pkgonly for things like KDE/Gnome/Xorg. That's probably obvious, but thought I'd point it out. And by using --pkgonly, you lose any speed benefits that you could have gained by compiling . . . so it's kind of a catch-22. I guess it depends on the CPU and RAM of the machine, but a Stage 1 install (w/ XF86/KDE) took 4-5 days on my machine.
