I wish I could make the meetings, since I'd like to talk with people about getting udev to work with these MP3 players, since it's a semi black art. Though there is a good writeup on the net about how to use udevinfo to help setup things. Someone needs to write a tool to scan the bus, ask you to insert the device, then re-scans the bus and suggests the udev rule(s) to make the device do what you want. Then, in the futire, it would just work! As it is, writing udev rules is a bit of a hit or miss, though once you get your mind wrapped around using udevinfo, it' isn't too bad to figure out what to do. John

Idea for next month's WLUG meeting....

Over pizza last night I had a WLUG meeting idea I thought I would share with the group. Seems many WLUG members have Android phones and tablets. How about a show & tell about each of our favorite Android applications? Android is Linux-based so it is somewhat relevent to our group. I am not sure how we can "show these" up on a big screen but a laptop could easily go to the web page (or developer's page) via browser might work. I am happy to contribute my 5 to 10 favorites in the Android App world. Sharing these in this e-mail group might make sense also if people so choose. Anyone else have thoughts on this topic? WLUG Meeting on May 16th at 7pm! Topic: Linux Gaming!

Hey Everybody! We've got a meeting this week! Date: May 16th, 2019 Time: 7pm Location: WPI Campus Center Mid Century Room (rm 331) Topic: Linux Gaming This month we'll be talking about Linux Gaming! I may or may not be able to make it. My wife will be out of town so we'll see... If I do make it I plan do demo using Lutris. If others would like to demo games on linux feel free to show them off.
