Tonight's meeting

I've never been to a WLUG meeting before. It's okay for a member of the general public to just show up, right? On a different note, I was trying to set up the Cyrus mail server under Suse 9.2 and have been having a hell of a time with it. I set it aside about 2 weeks ago and haven't gotten back to it. If I bring the PC with me, would anyone be able and willing to help me configure Cyrus properly (or maybe the problem's with PAM - I don't know)? I suppose I could set it up at home for someone to access via VNC or something, too. Thanks, -- Rich

Topics for next meeting

Before the next meeting suddenly appears and we're scrambling for a topic, is there something that people are burning to know about? We talked about doing a talk about plex, I'm not sure how interested people are. Another topic that came up was a talk about setting up a RetroPi system. Another topic that came up later was BitCoin. Personally I've always found bitcoin an enigma. If anybody in the group understands it I'd love to learn about it and possibly what tools there are on linux for mining and storing bitcoins. Reminder: May WLUG Meeting: Field Trip to Technocopia on May 12th!

Hey Everybody, This is a reminder that we've got a field trip planned for this WLUG meeting! We're going to Technocopia May 12th! @ 7pm! It's located at 44 Portland St. We've been told by 7pm the lot next to the building is available for parking. Kevin Harrington is going to be giving a tour of the new digs and then showing off his Bowler Robotics Studio stuff. Afterwards we'll figure out a pizza situation. Thanks Ron for organizing this! April WLUG meeting to be online

Hey Gang, I hope everybody is staying safe and healthy. While Linux doesn't need virus protection, we do. Wash your hands you filthy animals. As the subject reads, we're going to be doing the WLUG meeting online. I've been active in the wlug-ma irc channel as have others. What do people think about Jitsi for doing a video meetup? Hey Gang, Our next meeting is April 12th, 2018! Would people be interested in talking about security oriented versions of Linux? We all know about Tails, and in consideration of the issues that Richard ran into with getting stuff installed on Kali, it might be interesting to compare / contrast the different options out there. What do people think? I'm thinking this would work best as having a couple of people each showing off a particular distribution.
