HI gang, I have volunteers who will bring in computers showing off SuSE Linux 7.x and Mandrake 8.1. Is there anybody else out there who would like to bring in a machine running something different? I'm thinking of a Slackware, Debian, Turbo Linux, etc. If you are interested, let me know. (The only reason I didn't mention Redhat is that most people run it, and most of us probably know what it looks like already). Hi Mike, What I really meant was that I was looking for folks who could demo and discuss distribution specific features of their favorite distribution. Interested? -- Andy Stewart Founder Worcester Linux Users' Group Worcester, MA, USA http://www.wlug.org
I will bring my Athlon: Currently: Debian Unstable OpenBSD Win2K Win2k will be go away next Mon. in favor of FreeBSD or NetBSD. It was only there for Medal of Honor anyway ;) . Debian Unstable will be replaced with Stable to provide for the opportunity to demo apt-get upgrade/install. I assume we will have fast net for such fun in the big room? -Adam p.s. Shall I bring the whole kit or will there be onsite pieces (power cords, net cords, monitors, switch/hub, etc.)? HI Adam, This is great - thanks! I'll check on the availability of the network. I would bring the whole computer just to be sure. Later, Andy
