Incompatible versions of Mysql 4.0.x and NPTL based systems?
*/Hi, I logged into WebHost Manger on our server today and was presented with this message: Important Notice: Incompatible versions of Mysql 4.0.x and NPTL based systems./* If you are running a newer linux system which is NPTL based (CentOS 4, Fedora 3+, RHE 4, etc) and are having problems with MySQL 4.0.x (versions later then 4.0.23*), we recommend upgrading to MySQL 4.1.x as we have determined that there are compatibility issues on these platforms. We're running RHE4 (which _is_ NPTL based) and MySQL 4.0.26 Can anyone point me to more information about this issue so I can determine if we need to upgrade. Thanx, Michael Z

You should update your RHEL4 system, as the latest package available from Red Hat Network is 4.1.12 I believe.
We're running MySQL 4.0.26 - does that matter? Would Hostgator email us if there was a true and urgent compatibility issue? Thanx, Michael Chuck Anderson wrote:
